This is my 7th year teaching elementary students. I began in first grade and eventually moved to 2nd. I absolutely love the primary-aged classrooms and watching my students grow and change in many ways.
I believe in the 3 f's: making learning fun while also being firm and fair. Students learn in so many different ways and at various levels and come to school from many walks of life. It's never okay to expect all students to achieve the same goals or act in a particular way- instead we should approach students as individuals who have very specific needs. I also firmly believe in giving multiple chances to try again.

I have two dogs, a beagle named Milo and a Pitbull mix named Ruby. Milo is an animal-assisted therapy dog and loves to spend the day in 2nd grade with the kids. Ruby likes to hog the bed and sit on your lap. Both of my dogs are rescue dogs. I am marrying the love of my life August 8th, 2015 and hoping to run more half marathons this year.
