TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been involved in the Early Childhood field full time for about six years now. Two of those years as a certified first grade teacher. Throughout the years I have been a personal nanny to two families, worked in our local preschools, volunteered for reading intervention, and recently have become more involved with advocating for a change in our state school system's early childhood involvement and expectations.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am an early childhood teacher and advocate. I strongly believe in preparing our children for society and academic success through research based practices, hands-on experiences, and whole-body learning. My goal when teaching is to improve each child's development in entirety. I have a strong passion and a longing desire for change in early childhood education and intervention. I hope to assist to the best of my ability in changing our education system's requirements in these areas. Research shows that the experiences of a child up to age eight will predict their life long capability. Yet, our system doesn't appropriately support or regulate our children before the age of six. It is time for change!
