I began teaching English language arts in 1992 and have been in the secondary English classroom ever since, teaching all grades and ability levels of English language arts at one time or another. Now I teach eleventh and twelfth graders enrolled in advanced and Advanced Placement levels of English.
My style is a blend of teacher-directed and student-centered learning.

Although many things about teaching have changed since I began my career in August of 1992, much remains the same--namely, the students. Regardless of their age or ability level, students need opportunities to experience success in the classroom. By helping every student achieve to the best or his or her ability, I help students develop the self-esteem and the sense of self-efficacy that they will need to succeed in life.
