TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching since 2003. My experience is wide ranging, as are the Virginia communities I have served. While I have taught 5th through 12th grade, my primary experience is teaching 12th grade government, from team taught to AP Government and Politics. MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in variety; trying to foster in my students the ability to succeed in the college environment. I primarily use primary and secondary source documents in my classroom in a variety of methods, including research projects, policy briefs, simulations, lectures, discussion groups, games, field trips, speakers, activities, and other activities.
