Teaching is one of my greatest passions and for me, it was the one thing that was consistent while I was growing up. Each day, I strive to make a differenece in the students' lives in which I have the opportunity to work with. I have taught at the intermediate elementary level (3-5) and will soon be encountering the middle school realm (7th and 8th grade). Besides my actual experience within the classoom, I also have much experience with writing curriculum and designing instruction utilizing the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and creating as well as implementing various parent and community involvement programs. Also, I have worked closely with teachers of all grade-levels to create meaningful interventions for students so that they have the greatest opportunity to succeed.
Within my classroom, I am extremely energetic and enthusiastic and I strive to motivate and encourage students to be their best. I believe that students need to have ownership of their learning so they are very involved with creating the routines and structures in the room. Most of the time I am the facilitator in the room guiding students through the learning process. :)

I attended Western Washington University from 2005-2009 where I earned my Bachelors in Education and majored in Elementary Education and Sociology. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and got my teaching endorsements in Elementary Education and Middle Level Mathematics. After receiving my bachelors, I focused my masters on Teacher Leadership and Administration; this degree I received from Walden University in 2013.
I love kids and I love teaching! Teachers were such influential factors in my life growing up, so I strive to be that way for students today. :)
