TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have had the pleasure of being in the classroom for 4 years teaching special education. I have co-taught and currently have found my home in teaching a fourth grade for two consecutive years self contained, with my current year teaching a grade 3/4 special education self contained bridge class.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to think of myself a patient free spirit, especially when you have students that come from a plethora of backgrounds and abilities. I rarely ever focus on what my students can't do, but I rather work with all of their strengths and abilities. I love having fun inside the classroom, and animating my lessons through color coding many activities and using visuals to aid my students with disabilities in addition to my students that are ELL's with a disability. I try to include and incorporate many sensory activities to my lessons to help address many of my students needs.
