When I finished my major in geology, back in 2007, I was far from imagining that I would become an educator. I always thought teaching wasn’t for me, that I would become a petrologist or a structural geologist. But, when I took my first teaching job in 2009 (as a way to pay for my master in geoheritage), I was surprised to find out that I loved teaching. I later got a job an a UNESCO Geopark working as an outdoor science educator. One of my tasks was to develop educational material for our activities and exhibits. It was during that time that I developed the skills that allow me to develop materials for my TPT store.
I'm a nature conservation specialist with a deep love for education. I've been working in non-formal science and environmental education for the past five years, and don't imagine myself doing anything else in life. My goal is to teach about nature and science, but most importantly is to help children understand and love nature, because as Baba Dioum said I believe that: In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.
