I use my own little mixture of SIOP, Reading/Writing Workshop, and Guided Reading Method in both my ELA and ESL classes. I try to not only teach content for their specific curriculum areas, but also teach my students how to learn and how to think. I believe strongly in motivating students in order to teach them.

I am first and foremost a mom and wife. I am obsessed with teaching. I enjoy action research related to teaching and I am the weird kind of person who likes to analyze data and crunch numbers. Outside of teaching I enjoy cooking, photography, and anything DIY (especially home projects.)
