I've been a Speech Therapist for 25+ years. I've worked in daycares, schools, private practice, headstarts, and homes. Most of my work experience has targeted toddlers through 5th grade age children. Currently, I work in an elementary school helping pre-K through 5th grade students communicate better.
Read, read, and read some more to the children.
Always keep your sense of humor, it makes working with children much easier.

I love being crafty whether it's sewing or using my hot glue gun or creating fun therapy activities. When I'm not being crafty or spending time with my family, I love curling up with a good book. My favorite book genres are thrillers, dystopian society, twisted fairy tales, YA and science fiction. My son doesn't find my sense of humor funny, thus he has no idea why I shared that he bestowed the Mean Mom Award to me. Finding humor in life makes every day sparkle.
