I've taught different grade levels in the United States and internationally. I am bilingual in Spanish and English for that reason. My Master's is Human Development of Working with Multilingual Communities. I love scuba diving. I have three sons; two of which have special needs. I am a creative, on-the-fly problem solver.
Teaching so many different levels has enabled me to be flexible toward different learners and their styles. I find the kinesthetic learner is the one most able to apply what they've learned to new situations. Perhaps this is what Maria Montessori meant about " the learning potential".
Honored with three adventurous and inquisitively creative boys and an endearing husband.
My earliest years of learning originate in a Montessori environment. Stubborn and set in my ways, the Montessori environment encouraged me to explore my environment and enjoy learning through discovery, hands-on or tactile projects. This method of learning has stayed with me. I find this learning style to be the most accommodating to the children I've taught.
Cocoa, Florida is a great resource of ideas and enjoyment of nature with my three boys, Samuel, Justin and Luis. We love to go to build on the beach, digging and exploring anything the ocean may reject. I write stories for fun and explore resourceful ways of reusing old items.
