Each state book is written like a handheld game that gives the kids clues which are facts and trivia about the state. The reader is encouraged to guess the state along with the characters. Each book has a supplemental study guide that is book-specific and not just based on the clues. The study guides make the books cross-curriculum as there are discussion questions and/or research projects; some science, some math, some arts, and a trivia game based on the book.

Study guides are included in the ebook files since they are book specific.
