I spend the first 14 years of my careers as a lab rat (reseach assistant/lab manager) at Vanderbilt University. Through the Teach Tennessee Program (aka Teacher bootcamp). I started in the classroom in fall of 2007 at Mt Juliet HS in Mt Juliet TN. I enjoy teaching biology, AP Biology and chemistry.
My teaching style is very corporate and business like. I'm flexible and fun but the emphasis is on the work to be done and teach workskills as well as content.
Chosen by my school and peers to give 20 to 30 hours of Professional Development annually to great teachers in TN covering topic such as Differentiated Instruction, Choice Based Menus for Improved Student Morale and Engagement.
Graduated from Lipcomb University with a Bachelors in Biology with a minor in chemistry.
I am married for more than 20 years with 3 daughters, 16, 14 and 10.
