TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I teach at English Language Arts and Journalism at Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have taught 9th grade ELA, 9th grade honors ELA, Cambridge First Language English, and Journalism/student publications.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a high energy teacher with clear procedures and expectations for what a successful classroom looks like. I believe in chunked activities with quick transitions and multiple avenues for student-on-student interaction.

I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus in literature. In 2012, I received my Master of Arts in English with a focus on rhetoric and composition from Western Kentucky University. I'm currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching from Marian University in Indianapolis.
