TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught K-12 Music, third grade, sixth grade, second grade, and kindergarten. I am heading into year 25 in K! I am a songwriter, pianist, and love recording original music for early literacy classroom use. I have also created several things for use teaching the Common Core Standards for Kindergarten. My K Math Journal Bundle is a favorite! I have also created several name products because names are everything in kindergarten.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Research shows that young children retain information better when music and movement are used daily in the classroom. Children who have fun while learning are more likely to remember what has been experienced through music. Original hands-on work is the key to learning the common core standards.
