By Magic Spells for Teachers Marisa Boan has been an educator in New York City for more than twenty-five years. She has worked as an elementary school teacher, a high school teacher, a bilingual teacher, and a school administrator. Her work as a literacy coach and professional staff developer enabled her to work with a wide range of students over the years and allowed her to mentor teachers at different stages in their careers. Her work continued at the high school level where she has served as a mathematics teacher, English teacher, ESL teacher, Special Education teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Her Magic Spells for Teachers have worked wonders in all of her classrooms, regardless of the grade level.
