For my 11th year of teaching, I'm heading back into the classroom as a 1st grade classroom teacher. I have an M.Ed in elementary education and am currently working on obtaining a K-12 reading license.
My teaching style involves small-group instruction for reading and math so the lessons can be differentiated and targeted based on the needs of the students. Students work on independent skills as well as social interaction skills through literacy and math stations.
Yet to be added
B.S. in Foundations of Education in 2003 (University of Minnesota); M.Ed in Elementary Education in 2008 (University of Minnesota); K-12 Reading License - expected in 2017 (Hamline University)
I currently live in Minneapolis, MN. When I'm not teaching, you can find me enjoying dinner somewhere in the city. I just love food! When I'm not sampling the best of Minneapolis restaurants, I'm spending time with my friends and family, reading books, or biking around the city. I am also an avid traveler and have traveled to over 25 countries. I will be hiking Mount Kilimanjaro in June 2016!
