TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a RtI Coordinator working closely with K-3rd grade teachers providing hands-on support and professional development in the area of reading. My focus is using assessment data to guide classroom instruction as well as intervention for at-risk learners. Make, Take & Teach is my way of providing teachers with the materials they need for their small group intervention. Most activities can also be used in literacy centers. Teacher intervention kits contain 15 activities (already printed for you in color and on 90lb cardstock) which align to one of the Big Five Ideas and commonly adminstered assessments (e.g. DIBELS Next). Visit www.maketaketeach.com as I have parent resources too!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Supporting differentiation and targeted, data-driven small group intervention.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Provided numerous in and out-of-district training on topics relating to Response to Intervention and Using Data to Guide Instruction and Intervention. RtI Initiative won the Michigan Association of School Boards Excellence In Education Award in the category of services to at-risk learners. Presenter at the Michigan Drop-out Prevention Summit.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
