My name is Patricia K. Dixon. I have been an educator for 26 years. I acquired invaluable experience both in and out of the classroom. I have been a teacher in the early childhood classroom, gifted education, adult education, and in compensatory education. I have served as a full time college professor, an adjunct professor, and as a lead teacher in public school administration.
My teaching style is eclectic. It reflects my various experiences, but is more in sync with gifted education. Presently, I am the lead teacher in a first and second grades combination classroom. My students work at their own level on basic skills while actively planning and implementing group projects with their peers of different academic levels.
I am a Holmes Partnership Scholar and a member of the National Association of Professional Women.
I have a M.ED in Early Childhood Education and M.ED +30 in Education Administration. I am a PhD Candidate.
I founded Making Knowledge Accessible in 2011.
