TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught both Science and Math in the 7th and 8th grades, and I have taught all levels of High School Math, except for Calculus.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I embrace many approaches to teaching, including exploratory groupwork, use of technology, student-centered learning, and Socratic discussion. I believe that reflection on problem solving methods and actively looking for patterns are the key to success in Math.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My recognition comes from the students who tell me that they finally understand math.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Graduated High School with Honors; B.S. in Mathematics and French, LSU; M.Ed., LSU

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have an amazing mom who taught me that it is more important to dwell on the process of problem solving than it is to find the answer.
