TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My career path has allowed me to teach multiple grade levels from pre-k to 5th grades. I specialize in math intervention and curriculum writing in a UBD format. I currently am an Instructional Coach for Mathematics and a Math Consultant with a passion for engaging students and teachers as every day problem solvers.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe each student that enters our doors is unique and holds a special potential that is all their own. With that in mind, it is my belief that the role of a teacher is to help students uncover their potential. In order to do that, teacher have to give the gift of allowing students to be independent thinkers and questioners. I strongly believe in offering students respectful and engaging problem solving opportunities that allow them to stretch their minds, solve and justify their solutions. Learning should be challenging and fun. Math should be challenging and fun.
