TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an elementary music teacher for ten years for Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada where I have taught pre-kindergarten through fifth grade children. Prior to working for Clark County School District, I was a private voice teacher for students ranging in age from twelve to eighteen, and I was a general music teacher for home schooled children.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I strive to provide my students with high engagement lessons that not only meet the national music standards and the Clark County School District standards, but I also work to integrate the theories of Carl Orff and Zoltan Kodaly. I focus on using folk music from around the world as well as composing pieces for my students.
