Relaxed classical, with a focus on play based learning for young children. My curriculum and materials do NOT align to the Common Core State Standards, unless coincidentally.
Graduated Phi Theta Kappa, with honors and a 3.8 GPA, 2001.
I was both public school educated, and homeschooled. I put myself through college and am proof that your background and environment need not dictate your path in life. I deeply value early childhood, and the importance play and fun has in education. I do not believe education should be a series of test scores or dots on a paper, but rather, a real appreciation for all the world has to offer. I wish to instill in children and parents the joy of acquiring new information and keeping it fun and relevant to their lives. Learning is about lighting a fire, not filling a bucket.
On top of motherhood, I consider myself an education advocate with a special place in my heart for the special needs community. I love learning and bringing children of all styles and levels to the joy that is education. We are all more than a test score!
