TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching in Ontario for the past three years with students having a variety of needs and coming from very different socioeconomic backgrounds. I have a deep understanding of mathematics and have been studying ways to scaffold critical mathematics techniques in order for students to retain these key skills throughout their time in high school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is a mix between modern and classical. I love to talk, but I love hearing my students talk even more. I often propose different problems increasing in difficulty to challenge my weakest students to get the basics down, while at the same time putting my strongest students to the test. I encourage my students to have the mindset that making mistakes is a positive experience critical to learning. Another key component of my classroom is that questions can be answered in absolutely any way as long as no math rules are broken and it can be explained.
