TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a certified teacher for 8 years working in special education and general education at both the elementary and middle school levels.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in hands on discovery learning. If you break everything down to the basic elements and allow students to experience those elements you can scaffold advanced learning around the experiential learning. In my experience not only do students learn more through hands on activities, but they apply the skills better, and test better on NCLB testing when exposed to the material in this manner.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a degree in elementary education and special education. I am math content certified up to Algebra II and have my Middle Level Language Arts certification.

I have worked in elementary, middle, and high school settings with both general education and special education students.
