TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently in my third year of teaching grades K-3 general music. I am also in my third year of teaching a variety of early childhood music classes for children ages 0-5 as well as private and group voice classes for children ages 6-11 years old. I direct an elementary chorus, and accompany an elementary orchestra.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Gordon's music learning theory is the foundation of all of my teaching: Keeping in mind the importance of exposing children to a wide range of tonalities and meters to broaden their music vocabulary. I believe in the benefits of incorporating a variety of methods into my classroom: Orff, Kodaly, etc.
