I have been working in fundraising and development with several elite universities for the past 6 years and in that time have managed (and trained) over 1,000 people ranging from ages 17-70 on how to communicate in a manner that generates millions of dollars in donations. In that time, I had the opportunity to teach them my personal method of organization. It's easy to do and easy to remember. I call it "IPA Every Day" and it stands for Identify. Prioritize. Act! The official trademark for IPA Every Day defines it as an "education service, namely conducting lectures, classes, seminars, conferences, workshops and individual sessions in the field of time management, personal organization and efficient work habits.†Learn to micromanage yourself so that others don't have to. All you have to do is IPA Every Day!
I am a storyteller, a leader, a friend, a disciplinarian, a big brother, a coach and a father figure all rolled into one. I am open and honest with all my students/employees. Together we will outline short and long-term goals and we will create a specific plan of attack to ensure that we succeed in a timely manner. I like to plant a seed and then ask questions to get the answers to arise on their own. In other words, I try to teach everyone to fish so they may feed themselves for a lifetime, rather than just giving them a fish to feed them for a day.
Nothing official, just thousands of "thank you's!"
I've studied Communications, Psychology and Spanish, but my actual degree (BA) is in Fine Arts. I graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, IA in the spring of 2003. I have also had the opportunities to study abroad in both Costa Rica and throughout Europe.
