TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for 8 years in high poverty schools in Charlotte, NC, primarily in classes with high numbers of special needs students or students who speak English as a Second Language.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style has been jokingly described as "organized chaos." I have a high focus on problem solving, group work, and focused discussions. I like to let the students figure things out without me always having to explain them. However, I realize there is a time and place for explicit instruction and practice.
