TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught ESS and substituted for several grades for many years. I have taught adult classes as well. I homeschool a pre-schooler, 1st grader and a ninth grader

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in using delight directed learning along with a self-designed curriculum. My kids tell me what they would like to learn about the next year and I work to incorporate it into the core curriculum that I have created. I do adhere to state standards.

I have received President's List and Dean's List with Elizabethbethtown Community College and Western Kentucky University.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have my AA from ECC in Special Education, my BIS from WKU in dual Special Education and Psychology, and I am currently in my last few semesters of my MAE in Adult Education and Child Psychology. I will continue on for my Ph.D.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been a foster parent since 2008 and have had 17 kids in my home. I love nature and teaching my students to leave the world a better place than they found it.
