TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 20 years in an urban district in Massachusetts. During this time, I have taught ELA and ESL to students ranging in age from 10 to 80! I love to teach writing and am always looking for new ways to engage my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Right now, I use a combination of teacher directed/student centered learning. I use a modified Writing Workshop model for writing. Eventually, my goal is to become the "Guide on the Side" instead of the "Sage on the Stage."
