TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm in 8th year of teaching fourth grade. I think fourth graders are the best! I began my career as a substitute and instructional aide. In 2004, I was entrusted with my own sweet class of precious fourth graders. I have loved teaching fourth grade ever since!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in building relationships with students and their families. I believe in firm and consistence, while remaining flexible. I believe I have as much to learn from my students as they have to learn from me.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have had the honor and pleasure of presenting at SEEC (Space Exploration Educators Conference) at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Faulkner University in May 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I'm looking forward to continuing my educational journey...one I hope will last a lifetime!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a teacher, a learner, a thinker, a player, a hugger, a mistake maker, a problem fixer. I love the look on a child's face when the light bulb suddenly shines. I love the sound of laughter, especially in the midst of frustration. I love any excuse for celebration, for I believe no victory is too small. I believe anyone can learn. I believe knowledge is the original superhero power. I believe we can accomplish anything if we only work together. I am a Brainiac.
