Over 22 years teaching experience in special education and early childhood grades pre-k through 2nd. The majority of my time as an educator has been in kindergarten....which I love! My time as a "home educator" a.k.a. mommy is spent trying to instill a love for learning in my own children. My husband and I enjoy coming up with fun, creative ways to make learning fun for our sweeties.
I love building others up and helping young learners see that they can do anything they set out to do if they are willing to believe in themselves and work hard.
School-level nominee for Teacher of the Year, 2013 Ugly Sweater contest winner (co-designed with my wonderful husband)
I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus. I also hold endorsements in Pre-K Special Education and as a Teacher Support Specialist.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with some of the most encouraging and talented coworkers at the best elementary school ever! Exploring a new job opportunity allowed me to realize how much I truly love teaching. There is no better job and I'm thankful for each day!
