TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have worked with children for the better part of 20 years in come capacity. I have been a homeschool co-op teacher, a classroom teacher, served many different volunteer teaching positions including mentoring, tutoring and working with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. I currently teach Kindergarten at the "Best School in all of Georgia" and I am thrilled each day that I have my dream job.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to make learning come alive for my students. Any time I can bring in a hands on element into a lesson I am thrilled. I also love to incorporate technology into my lessons, the kids love it so much that they instantly pay more attention to what you are doing!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have received several awards for community service. I strive to do what I can to make my community a better place.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Western Governors University and have recently enrolled in a Masters program at Kennesaw State University for curriculum and instruction.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love God, I love my family and I love my job! I am a Mom to 4 wonderful kids ranging in age from 13-20. My kids keep me busy, but I would not have it any other way. Raising my kids has given me a unique insight to the gaps in education for both students who are gifted and those who struggle that I try to fill each day as a teacher.
