I have been teaching since 2009. I have enjoyed teaching and being with young children my whole life. Before getting my degree in Elementary Education I babysat and worked for KinderCare throughout college. I currently teach in a small rural school K-5, with around 60 students total. My classroom is a combined class of kindergarteners and first graders. I absolutely love it! I previously worked as a 4K teacher in cooperation with my current district. It was an all inclusive classroom with a very special student population. What a great experience!
I love teaching through hands-on activities when I can.
I've received many "Best Teacher Ever" awards and love notes from my students. Other than that, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Carroll.
I graduated from Carroll College in Waukesha, WI with a degree in Elementary Education and minors in Early Childhood and Spanish. I am currently attending graduate school at UW-Whitewater to receive my master's in Professional Development with a Reading Emphasis. As a part of the reading emphasis I will earn my 317 (reading specialist) license.
I have been married to my wonderful husband since the summer of 2010. We recently bought a house and enjoy being first time homeowners. We have a yellow lab puppy named Eames, who isn't much of a puppy anymore. She is spoiled rotten! Being an educator is seriously my dream job. I could not imagine doing anything else with my life other than educating and inspiring young people.
