Mary's philosophy, that the study of visual art is a discipline, has proven successful year after year. Her teaching style compares to that of a good reading teacher. Once the student has knowledge of the letters, and the sounds they produce, they can go on to making words. Once the student has knowledge and control of the medium, then they can go on to the business of creating.
