TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have ten years teaching experience as an intervention specialist. I taught five years in middle school and five years in elementary school. I have trainings in Orton-Gillingham and a master degree in Early Childhood Special Education.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to be very visual when I present materials to students. I like to focus on foundation skills since those are areas students with special needs are usually lacking in. I also love incorporating hands-on activities as much as possible!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been part of the Building Leadership Team (BLT). When I was at the middle school, I was the department coordinator for special education. I have also been apart of many leadership committees that deal with RTI and special education.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

My undergrad degree is Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate which I attained from Kent State University. I have my masters in Early Childhood Special Education which I attained from Cleveland State University. One day I would like to teach preschool!
