My students love activities where they get to move around and hold a clipboard (fascinating)! In this activity, students have to walk around the room to match an algebraic expression with it's simplified version. Students must distribute and collect

In preparing students for state testing, I realized that there just aren't enough challenging, multi-step percent questions out there for students to practice. I created this station activity, using a fun riddle, to make sure students had to use

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I can't believe it, but I've been teaching more than 5 years now. Time flies! I've taught Middle School math for 5 years, and taught a bit of high school math in student teaching. My specialty is in the 7th grade CCSS curriculum. However, I have worked with students with a range of skills and have had to get creative in addressing elementary math elements in order to get them on grade level. I also have experience teaching accelerated students and have found ways to challenge their thinking. In my store, you will see a variety of materials that I have found helpful in my time as a teacher. My goal is to always make math fun, interactive, and deep!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is a mix of modern and traditional. I'm not a fan of textbooks, but I love structure. My room and teaching is a well-oiled machine. However, my students know I like to spice things up by incorporating technology and making math hands-on and interactive.
