I have spent the past three years in the classroom teaching sixth through eighth grade math and sixth grade physical science.
My teaching style is best summed up with the quote: "I want students to be able to say these things when they leave me: I am a worthwhile person; I deserve a place on this earth. I am successful. I am ready for whatever the world throws at me - today or tomorrow" - Roberta Ford. Students should be educated and challenged physically, mentally and emotionally.
My favorite moments are when I can see the "light bulb" go off in my students heads when they finally get something that they have been struggling with.
I currently hold a B.S. degree in Speech Education with a minor in Chemistry. I am certified in those two areas as well as middle school math, middle school science, and general science. I am currently working on my M.E.D. in Educational Theory and Practice.
My students are more than just my students. I take a lot of time preparing materials with my students in mind. I love to challenge them and help them reach goals that they never thought were attainable.
