TEACHING EXPERIENCE

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

As a mathematics coach, I strive to support 28 classroom teachers grades prek-4 as well as special education teachers. While there is a plethora of research based materials available for both the diagnosis and remediation of learning problems in literacy, as well as general tools to gather and examine data, the same does not exist for mathematics on the same scale; and the tools I have discovered are greatly expensive and require much training. I have made it part of my work to create an easy to use tool for teachers and coaches for gathering such data for students in the elementary grades in mathematics. The Student Math Records I have posted on my page strive to be used in this way, as well as to inform instruction and keep track of yearly individualized progress.
