TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 28 years in Nova Scotia, Canada. My classroom experience ranges from Primary (Kindergarten) to 6th grade. I have been a Math Mentor as well as a Math Consultant for my school board. I will be taking on a new role in the fall of 2016-17 as a Math Intervention Teacher. In addition to my public school teaching experience, I am also a part time faculty at Acadia University, teaching Mathematics to Pre-Service teachers in their School of Education.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in hands-on learning that focuses on problem solving using open ended or parallel questions. I believe in using conversation between teacher and student as well as between students as a teaching tool.
