TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am an elementary teacher specializing in math. I have taught in the UK and also in North America where I now live.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a math specialist and hold a Masters degree in Mathematics Education. I love to make my lessons fun. My resources are carefully structured so that all students are engaged, challenged and achieve success. I like to give students the opportunity to gain confidence working independently on math ideas which they enjoy, and also to work collaboratively in solving math problems with others. I incorporate exploratory, fun and creative activities which require students to work together while discussing their math thinking and ideas.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Masters Degree in Math Education with distinction

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

At school I enjoyed languages, creative arts and music as well as math. I completed my teaching qualification in 2008 and my Masters degree in Math Education in 2011. My Masters thesis focused on students’ attitudes towards collaborative working when learning math.
