MY TEACHING STYLE

Discovery-Based Learning with both technology and hands-on lessons. I love to engage students in lessons where they can have those ah-ha moments in the lesson when those light bulbs in their brain get turned on. My lessons are designed so that students are not just spectators to the lesson. They are actually actively involved in building their understanding of the concepts being considered. My lessons are designed this way because when students are actively engaged in a lesson they remember the concepts for a longer period of time. I have designed many scavenger hunts, Q and A games, Task Cards and Activity Sheets that focus on conceptual understanding. You will also find I Have...Who Has cards for Algebra and Calculus.
