This is my 5th year in the classroom. I have taught at two different low income schools, and have colleagues whom I work closely with at various schools in the area. I have taught almost every math class a student can take in high school; Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and AP Calculus AB & BC.
I like to dabble in a little bit of everything. Some days I am doing direct instruction, some I am having the students do a self exploration activity, and others I facilitate students working in group activities.
I have consistently received marks of "Meets and Exceeds Expectations" on all of my evaluations over the last 5 years.
I have a BA in Mathematics from Azusa Pacific University and a MA in Mathematics from Claremont Graduate University. I also earned my Single Subject Mathematics teaching credential from Claremont Graduate University, which was cleared during the summer of 2013.
In addition to teaching mathematics, I have also had the opportunity to teach AVID for 2 years as well as advise many different clubs on campus. This year, specifically, I am part of the Academic Decathlon team as well as the freshman intervention team at our school.
