Combined we have over 25 years of classroom teaching experience. We have taught all different levels of elementary but have found our niche while teaching elementary mathematics.
Our instructional style in the classroom focuses on problem-centered learning. Daily lessons begin with a grapple problem and work time. We encourage students to explore their understanding of problems through small group conversations and then move to classroom discussions. Employing this style of teaching in the classroom has helped foster greater thinking in and among our students.
We have each earned various honors and awards while teaching, including: Highly Effective ratings, Ida S. Baker, and Teacher of the Year.
We have both earned and received our undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education. In addition, we have each earned our Masters' Degrees.
