TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a mathematics educator for 30+ years, having served 4 of those years as a System Mathematics Specialist and 26 of those years in the classroom. I am entering my 31st year as an educator this coming school year. I have also taught several different college/university level math courses throughout the years in night school and in summer school. In recent years, I have taught workshops (with two college math professors) in the summers for the Eastman/Niswonger MathElites Program as a math instructor (teaching other math teachers in East Tennessee).

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that students should be taught mathematics conceptually, verbally, algebraically, geometrically, numerically, analytically, and technologically! All students learn differently, therefore, I strive to vary the ways that I present and teach various mathematical concepts.
