TEACHING EXPERIENCE

We are Mona Starr and Cheryl Hentschel, a team that consists of two elementary math facilitators who have a combined teaching experience of over forty years. We love teaching math and are excited about making teachers' lives easier and fun!

MY TEACHING STYLE

No matter what we are teaching, we believe instruction should develop understanding, provide differentiation and accommodate all learning styles by providing many hands-on experiences. We have found that communicating clear expectations and offering children choices results in motivated, independent problem solvers.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Mona is a graduate of University of Central Oklahoma and is working toward a master's degree. Cheryl is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and has a master's degree.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

We first met when our paths crossed through our children at church 20 years ago. Since then, our love of children, teaching, and learning about best practices in math instruction have solidified our long-time friendship.
