TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught math at all grades between 3-12. As a resource specialist I struggled to differentiate for widely varied ability levels and that sparked my interest in instructional technology. To enhance my skills, I studied programming and web development. I am now working on creating interactive lessons that will engage students in whole group instruction or allow students to review material individually or in small groups. I am also working on creating a series of SCORM compliant lessons that can be loaded into a school's LMS. These lessons work well with Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard and many others. When used in this way, the lessons are self grading and go directly to a system's grade book.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in engaging students in multiple modes of instruction. That is why I love combining interactive whiteboard activities with hands on math manipulatives.
