Hi! I am Daniela from MathTexas :)
After graduating with a degree in mathematics I taught high-risk students at an urban high school in San Antonio Texas for 3 years.
I am currently a math support specialist. My job is to create differentiated math materials for an economically disadvantaged middle school. I collaborate with teachers to plan student-centered learning experiences aligned with the TEKS.
My classroom has a low floor and a high ceiling. As an educator, I believe in my student’s limitless potential and hold them to high expectations. At the same time, I understand that each of my students is at a different academic level and learns in a unique way. For this reason, it is important to know my students’ academic strengths and weaknesses so I can meet them where they are by differentiating and scaffolding instruction.
