My name is Matias de Paula. I started teaching English in 2004 after spending two summers working at summer camps in South Dakota. After that I taught ESL at several primary schools and high schools in Argentina. In 2010 I started my own language school in Argentina which is now the biggest private language school in town, and at the same time I worked with underprivileged teens at a public high school. In 2014 I started my MA in Linguistics at WVU where I also taught Spanish to undergraduate students. I'm particularly interested in language assessment and I use the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) and the ACTFL to grade the level of all lessons you'll find on my store.
I believe in adapting to the needs of the learner. Teaching is fun but it's also a challenging job, so in terms of Marc Prensky, it's fundamental to adopt materials and ideas we might find useful and adapt them to our learners' needs.
