I have been a Teacher for over 13 years. With two degrees, I have been blessed to have taught everything from Physical Education to Applied Mathematics. My main focus has always been middle years Math and Science, teaching for 8 years in that age group. Recently have taught high school and elementary students which has helped me become more aware of the struggles students face in math. I have also taught a "Serious Games" diploma through the University of Winnipeg, using my experiences and knowledge in that area.
I teach with fun in mind. If I am not having fun, why would my students be experiencing fun? I am not a big believer in text book work, rather I focus on hands on activities, using games, manipulatives and personal struggles to create engaging classroom experiences. I like to get my elbows dirty with my students and do not teach from the front of the room, rather among them.
