My teaching experience includes 3 years of Pre-K, 11 years of Kindergarten, 3 years of 3rd grade, and 2 years of 4th grade. I have thoroughly enjoyed every grade I have taught!
My teaching style focuses first on connecting with my students. I do this by providing a save and nurturing environment where students feel free to express their thoughts and ideas. I believe in keeping students engaged in learning through movement and cooperative learning techniques.
A shining moment for me was when a student who had expressed that she did not like math, looked up at me and said, "I think I'm starting to think Math is fun!"
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Fitchburg State University.
I enjoy traveling, and have visited 16 countries as well as several states. My future travel goals include several National Parks. I also enjoy creating teaching resources, going to the beach, and watching football in my spare time.
